Frequently asked questions

Q. I don’t hold a UK visa – will an employer sponsor me?

Sponsorship in the UK is rare. We suggest you thoroughly research your visa options prior to relocating to the UK. Look at www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk for more information.

Q. How long will it take me to obtain a visa?

We recommend you apply for your visa at least 6-8 weeks prior to your planned departure to the UK.

Q. Is it possible to secure a role before relocating to the UK?

This is possible but quite rare, and tends to be reserved for senior or specialist roles. UK employers like to meet people face-to-face before hiring to ensure a cultural fit. If you have set dates of arrival the process is occasionally started via phone interview prior to your arrival.

Q. What is the cost of Absolute Global’s service?

Absolute Global’s services are free for candidates.

Q. Can you assist with both permanent and contract roles?

Yes, we work with agencies that specialise in both contract and permanent roles.

Q. When can you help me?

We are able to assist you when you are two or three months out from your arrival in the UK, with set dates of availability, and a UK visa. Prior to this time we can assist with market information, CV advice, salary information, and are here to answer any queries you may have about the market.
